Last Stop Shop
Day 18: July 18, 2017: Coram, MT: 268m/431km
Today was a bit of a wild turn of events. We stopped into Walmart to collect any last minute supplies, we are planning to cross into Canada tomorrow. We bought a few packages of powdered Propel packets and 60, yes sixty, packages of spam! After loading our groceries, we took a detour to Glacier National Park and drive across Logan's Pass. I managed to get a lot of pictures of the glaciers and a few animals, Opa waited in the gift shop, the stairs were a bit of a climb for him. After driving across Logan's Pass and back, we decided to camp off of the West entrance to the park at Sun-Suz-Ed. After unloading the bikes and setting up camp, Opa decided to get dinner at a place called the Glacier Grill, it was busy and the food was nice. Back at camp, Opa went to rest in the tent while I took a shower. I come back to find Opa upset about a boy washing dishes and basically throwing the water on his tent. The dad was yelling, Opa was annoyed, and I was left shocked and confused by the whole ordeal. Opa grabbed the owner who settled the whole fiasco, the dad left grumbling. It was an interesting exchange to say the least. Tomorrow, we will exchange a bit of cash, cross the border, and make our way towards Banff and Jasper.
